Hi,
To send a text message with the Jitterbug Plus, please follow the instructions below:
1. Scroll down to “Text Messages” and select Yes
2. Select “Send” by pressing Yes
3. Select either “Customize” or “Library”
4. Enter your customized message or select one from the Library and then press Yes
5. You will be taken to your Phone Book and from here you can select an existing contact or press the Up arrow until you see “Enter Number” to send the message to someone not in your book.

No, it does not. However you have the option of storing 50 phone numbers and you can scroll down to it for you to be able to dial the number. Not exactly speed dialing but its better than dialing the complete phone number.

Hello Mum,

The Jitterbug Plus does have a speed dial function. The speed dial works directly off of the Phone Book entries. No additional programming is needed. For example:
Phone book entry #1 = Speed dial #1
Phone book entry #5 = Speed dial #5
To place a call, the customer can simply press the speed dial number, followed by “YES”.

Yes, I found this out by checking if the jitterbug phone I just activated for my mother was working. I used my cell phone, which was a virgin mobile one and also the service to make a call to the jitterbug, I also used the jitterbug phone to call my cell phone. Both ways worked out fine.

Hello,

Greatcall requires specific software programmed into its phones. What this means is that you are unable to use a Greatcall phone with another cellular service provider and you are not able to use a cell phone from another cellular provider with Greatcall service.

Hi,
The Jitterbug Plus has a camera only. The Jitterbug Touch has camera and video capability. However, our Samsung R100 phone does not have a camera or video feature.

No, I was not able to do so. The Jitterbug has a capacity of 50 names. Names and numbers are very easy to pull and calls are easy and quick to make

Hi Scotty,
At this time there is no a way to directly transfer information from one cell phone to the Jitterbug Plus, unless you are replacing the Jitterbug phone with another Jitterbug model and keeping the same phone number. You can however, call our Operator Services with any contacts you want added to your phone and they will be able to send those contacts to your phone. You can also enter contacts onto your phone from MyGreatcall.com

No it will not, but the battery will last up to 25 days (depending on the use) Just check the battery power on the phone readout and use the charger accordingly .

It will not harm the battery of the phone if you charge it each night. In fact, we recommend charging your phone each night to ensure it has full power the next morning.

I`m hard of hearing and wear hearing aid at right ear (60% deaf). I`m 40% deaf at left ear. I need 48db gain or more to hear the left ear better. How high db is this phone goes?

The Jitterbug Plus does have Bluetooth capability, for headsets only. The Samsung HM1000/HM1200 is the recommended Bluetooth headset, manufactured by Samsung, proven to be compatible with the Jitterbug Plus.

Hello buzzard,

A missed call notification will appear on the screen any time a call is missed. If you open the phone and close it, the notification will clear, but the missed call info will still be available in the 'Call History' section.

Yes but you have to let them know before the register you with their phone number, they ask you tell them you want your old number before you register your phone so they can take care of all the changes. We did this with my husbands phone and it went through fine.

In most cases, GreatCall is able to port in a phone number from another carrier. Port-in requests may occur immediately or may take 1 to 3 business days (5 to 7 business days if porting a landline). Port In requests require the following information:

• Service number to be ported in 10 digit number only
• Carrier from which the number is being ported
• Account number from original carrier
• Password/PIN number (if required by carrier and/or if set by yourself)
• Last 4 digits of the account holder’s Social Security Number
• Account holder’s name (billing name w/ current carrier)
• Account holder’s billing address on the account with the prior carrier

NOTE: Please verify the following information prior to the request:
• Account is still active.
• Account is not under contract.
• There are no pending orders; i.e. cancellation orders.

Once you provide us with the number you would like to port in we will validate it in our system to confirm it is portable.

Coverage

What is the strength of the coverage on village Drive in marshall MN. 56258?

I have had coverage before from providers that worked in one are of this small town but not others. This is for my Dad for emergencies so I need to make sure it works where he is.
